At the 2023 Prom, Class of 2023 graduates Joe Marlo and Will Barry stay at the edge of the main floor to do their dancing. Because the small dance floor was the most crowded area, many students gathered around the edges with friends or in small groups.

Lady Lancers earn second in Pool at St. Dominic/Howell North Shootout

Despite the rain and wet field conditions at Francis Howell North, the Lady Lancer soccer team started off strong against Howell North in the 20th annual St. Dominic/Howell North Shootout.

““It’s old-time soccer, the way the game used to be played all the time,’’ Walters told the Post-Dispatch. “But I don’t think the girls enjoyed it quite as much as I did. I think they were just happy to get back on the bus and to get out of here.’’

The team opened pool play with a 5-0 victory over Howell North on April 26 before facing Parway West  on April 28. The Lancers then defeated the Longhorns 2-1, setting them up to compete for the pool B title against Cor Jesu on April 28.

The team fell to Cor Jesu 2-1, earning them second place in their pool at the Shootout.

The Lady Lancers now have an overall record of 12-6-0, 5-1 in Conference, leaving them in first place in Suburban West. They will next compete at Incarnate Word at 4:15 on May 2.
