Library assistant Nancy Hendricks passes away
Nancy Hendricks, library assistant, passed away this morning, May 3.
Principal Karen Calcaterra sent the following information out to the Lafayette community:
It is with great sadness that I share the news that Mrs. Nancy Hendricks, library assistant, passed away this morning unexpectedly in her sleep. This loss has been felt deeply by the members of our school community.
Nancy was a quiet, gentle soul and possessed the ability to brighten up our school. She served as our library assistant for the last eight years. Before coming to Lafayette, she was a classroom and library assistant at Green Pines Elementary School, serving the district for more than 20 years.
Be assured that our sympathy and prayers continue to be with the Hendricks family during this very difficult time. There has been an outpouring of love and understanding, and I’m proud of our close, caring Lafayette community.
