AP exams postponed due to flooding

Eureka High School’s parking lot floods as water levels rise. Water has now made it through the sandbags.

Due to the flooding in Eureka and the surrounding community, the Rockwood School District has closed all schools Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, May 2-4.

Some students are feeling the frustration of rescheduling Advanced Placement (AP) exams, due to the severe weather.

“I feel annoyed and angry that they are moved back because I had five exams in the first week which I wanted to get over with and stop stressing about. With this new situation, my exams are all spread out which causes me to keep worrying,” Nina Ruan, junior, said.

Students whose AP exams have been rescheduled received an email from Total Registration and Lafayette Testing Coordinator Jessica Brawner.  These dates are provided by CollegeBoard and the RSD testing coordinator.

Brawner’s email listed the following dates for AP tests to be held at Lafayette:

AP Computer Science – May 18 8 a.m. Room TBD

AP Spanish – May 18 12 p.m. Room TBD

AP Art History – May 18 12 p.m. Room TBD

AP Physics 1 – May 18 12 p.m. Room TBD

AP English Literature and Composition – May 19 8 a.m. Room TBD

AP Physics 2 – May 18 8 a.m. Room TBD

*AP United States History will take place May 5 at 8 a.m. at the Wildwood Hotel, students are expected to arrive 30 minutes prior to exam*
