Marquette has it, now Lafayette has one of its own.
Lafayette finally has a geofilter on Snapchat. A geofilter is a filter on Snapchat that uses location to show where a person posting a Snapchat is located. Many cities, events and various public places have geofilters, and now LHS has been added to the list.
The reaction of students has been very positive and many of them have been using the new geofilter.
Sophomore Braden King said,”I know Marquette had one, and I feel proud that we have one our own now. It shows good school spirit.”
The creator of the filter had been mystery, but Class 2015 student Jordan Lundquist is the one who made the geofilter.
He said, “My friend, Julianne Beffa, (senior) originally tried to make one earlier in the summer. She wanted there to be a geofilter to use at events such as football games and during Homecoming Week.”
He moved to Colorado right after graduation, but came back to St. Louis over the summer and stayed with a few friends. They thought it would be a great idea to try and make the geofilter idea come to life.
To get it approved by Snapchat, Lundquist said, “I designed the LHS image on Photoshop using a template I got on www.snapchat.com/geofilters. On the same website, I uploaded the image and selected the area that the filter should be applied to.”
“I think it will be really cool for students to use while at Lafayette,” Lundquist added.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
