#TeamWif Day on April 25

#TeamWif Day on April 25

People who have purchased a #TeamWif t-shirt are encouraged to wear them on Thursday, April 25.

But what exactly is #TeamWif?

#TeamWif was created by junior and Leukemia patient Michael Wefelmeyer and his mother to help with his medical bills.

Wefelmeyer agreed to the sale of the shirts so long as the money raised from sales would also be used to buy adult furniture for the Leukemia wing at the hospital, St. Louis Children’s Hospital, where he gets treatment.

“All of the furniture is really small,” Wefelmeyer said. “It’s all for children.”

Either a full set of adult chairs or a couch will be purchased with the money earned from the #TeamWif t-shirt sales.

According to Wefelmeyer’s Twitter page (https://twitter.com/Wefelmeyer), #TeamWif days will be the 25th of every month until he finishes treatment.

T-shirt forms can be found in the Junior Office, on Wefelmeyer’s Twitter page or directly from Wefelmeyer himself.
