Nisha Patel to become principal of Crestview

On July 1, 2013, Associate Principal Nisha Patel will officially become the principal of Crestview Middle School.

“I knew Crestview was an amazing school with amazing staff and outstanding students,” Patel said about applying for the principal opening at the Rockwood middle school. “I wanted to be a part of that.”

According to Patel, the interview process consisted of several rounds.  Three rounds included meeting with staff, parent, and student committees.

Patel was elated to later find out that after a long interview process that she had gotten the job.

“I am honored and humbled to be the next principal,” Patel said.

However, she doesn’t plan to let her time at Lafayette go to waste.

Patel said she plans to use her experience as a principal at Lafayette to help her guide the middle school students to a successful high school career.

She also feels grateful to have met and worked with the students and staff members that she has.

“I feel blessed to have been at Lafayette,” Patel said.
