At the 2023 Prom, Class of 2023 graduates Joe Marlo and Will Barry stay at the edge of the main floor to do their dancing. Because the small dance floor was the most crowded area, many students gathered around the edges with friends or in small groups.

Freshman Fish Dance

The Class of 2016 is starting off their first year of high school with the traditional Freshman Fish Dance.

This year’s Freshman Fish Dance will be held in the Back Gym, Saturday, Aug. 18 from 6-8 p.m.

The dance is organized for the freshmen to get a chance to know the many new students that they did not previously attend school with.

“I think I’m going to like it,” freshman Karen Farmer said, “There’s not a lot of people I know in my classes so I’m kind of counting on the dance.”

In order for the freshmen to get into this dance they must show up in their class T-shirt which was previously ordered. Each student had to pay $10.

Those shirts were pre-ordered at Freshman Orientation.

Another freshman, Sarah Malmstrom said, “I really wanted to go to meet some new people and hang out with my friends.”

Freshmen will get the chance to meet new people, listen to music and hang out with friends.
