Winter Carnival deemed a success

On Saturday Feb. 29, the Class of 2014 hosted the annual Winter Carnival as a fundraiser.

The carnival was the first fundraiser in a series of fundraisers which raise money for the class of 2014’s Senior Celebration that will take place after they graduate.

According to Assistant Principal Mandy Lewis, the class raised about $6,000 from the event.

Lewis said about 130 students ran the carnival with the help of 80 parent volunteers, totaling to about 210 people volunteering.

Although Lewis does not know exactly how many children came to the carnival, she said there were a lot.

“There were definitely a lot more [children] than last year,” Lewis said.
