On Monday, Nov. 28, interviews were held to replace Board of Education (BOE) member, Matthew Fitzpatrick, who resigned in October.
After six interviews, the current BOE members voted unanimously to appoint Geoff Rigabar as Fitzpatrick’s replacement. Because it is currently mid-term, he will serve until the April 2012 election.
According to the Rockwood School District website, “Steve Smith, board president, noted, ‘The Board was grateful that six well qualified citizens stepped forward.'”
Rigabar lives in Wildwood and currently has children attending Babler Elementary, Rockwood Valley Middle School, and Lafayette.
