On Nov. 20, seniors and their parents will participate in the annual senior memory maker events.
Mother-Daughter Bunco and Brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel while the boys have their Father-Son Game Night at 6 p.m. at Amini’s Game Room.
“It’s a senior tradition and an opportunity to have before they go off to college,” Assistant Principal Tim Jones said.
“LHS is the only school that does the senior and parent activities with the exception of a few private schools. The tradition has been going on for 15 years starting with the Mother-Son and Father-Daughter dinner dance in the spring,” Jones continued.
About half of the senior class participates in the senior and parent events.
The cost for the Mother-Daughter Bunco/Brunch is $50 per pair and the Father-Son tickets are $40 a pair.
“These are break even events, not a fundraiser and the events are run by the parents,” Jones said.
The tickets for both events were on sale during all lunch shifts through Nov. 4. Both events include a complimentary 5×7 photo.
