On Dec. 10, guests arrived at Lafayette for the Holiday Showcase put on by the Fine Arts Department.
Although the Holiday Showcase is a choir event, it is anything but the standard choir concert.
Sophomore choir student Roohi Singh said, “[The Holiday Showcase] gives the audience a different experience than a regular choir concert. It’s better than just standing there singing at them.”
In fact, there is very little standing around at all. The choir students go around the tables of the audience carolling.
Those who aren’t carolling are selling ornaments. The proceeds of the ornaments go to the Children’s Miracle Network.
And when the carolling gets monotonous, the choir department is giving A Christmas Carol between courses.
All in all, the Holiday Showcase was a unique experience in comparison to a regular concert or play.
