Everything from freshman Sam Rizzuto’s music taste to his backstage access, comes from his dad, Scott Rizzuto, a morning radio talk show host on FM alternative rock station 105.7 The Point.
“I can’t play music but I can talk about music. I have opinions about music and wanted to get involved somewhere in the industry,” Scott said.
He has been working in radio for around 25 years. Even when he was just 9 or 10 years old, he had a passion for music.
“I’ve always wanted to be on the radio. I had a boombox and cassette player and would record songs off the radio. [I would] pretend to be the DJ and talk up the songs as if I was on the radio,” Scott said.
Because he got his love for music so early, he wanted to do the same for Sam.
“From when Sam was a young kid, I was playing what I [thought] he should like. I want to share my love of music with my son,” Scott said. “Hopefully some of my taste will imprint on him.”
Which, Sam said, it has.
“I like Guns N’ Roses because my dad played that a lot,” he said. “Whenever we’re in the car, he’s got his playlist with a bunch of different songs, and I’ve been listening to that for years.”

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
