Last Time I… Went to the Doctor

The last time freshman Shailynda Campbell was at the doctor, she was frightful for her twin brother’s life. Her brother was diagnosed with a blood disease, but they couldn’t tell which blood disease it was. His white blood cell count was starting to get low, and his bones were getting fragile.
“At first, we were really scared,” said Campbell.
Shailynda and her family didn’t know what was wrong with her brother but kept trying to heal him with different medications and treatments.
“We thought he was going to die. For three weeks, we were calling old relatives to see if they had any diseases that could explain why he was so sick,” said Campbell.
Campbell is still trying to figure out why her brother is sick but has hopes that he will get better soon.
