Sophomore Rachel Uebelein has been smelling sweet since she found a new love for some strange scents.
Since December, Uebelein has been collecting perfume samples from various stores and magazines.
“I started when I got four samples from my Teen Vogue magazine, thought it smelled good and kept collecting them,” Uebelein said.
Today, Uebelein has collect 147 perfume samples, and plans to keep collecting.
“I go through the mall and purposely try to collect as many as I can,” she said, “and then I write down which ones I have and keep a running total every time I get a new one.”
Uebelein said she even keeps samples of perfume she doesn’t like, though her favorite scent is Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift.
Currently Uebelein keeps all the perfume samples in her room, but she doesn’t know what to do when the collection gets larger.
“I’m going to keep collecting and see how many I can get,” she said.
