At the 2023 Prom, Class of 2023 graduates Joe Marlo and Will Barry stay at the edge of the main floor to do their dancing. Because the small dance floor was the most crowded area, many students gathered around the edges with friends or in small groups.

Roe is youngest varsity volleyball player

Sophomore Tori Roe is currently the youngest player on the LHS varsity volleyball team, and also one of the newest members added to this year’s roster.

Last year, Roe played as the starting Libero on junior varsity where she was all over the court making plays that seemed impossible. This year, Roe is a defensive specialist for varsity.

“Yeah, I’ll admit I was a little worried about joining varsity at first, but I knew a couple of the team members already, and the varsity girls were really supportive and made me feel welcome,” Roe said about being pulled up to varsity.

Roe played her first match of the year against Lafayette’s number one rival, powerhouse team St. Joseph’s Academy. St. Joe was already gunning for the Lancers after being knocked out of the running for state last year, and had the home cout advantage against Lafayette this year.

“It was amazing! There were so many fans and we really gelled as a team. It was a great experience,” said Roe.
