Come rain, shine or snow, senior Matt Edwards has spent every Friday of the year dressed in neon. Even during black-out themed sporting events, Edwards still attended in a bright array of clothing. In halls and crowds of people, he can always be found. To find out a little more about his style, lhsimage.com asked “Neon Guy” five questions.
Q: How many weeks would you say you’ve dressed in neon for Friday?
A: Since the fourth week of school. I’ll guess 13 or 14 weeks.
Q: What was your inspiration?
A: It started out with me being me. Just to be happy, outgoing and energetic all the time.
Q: Why do you do it?
A: It started out as a joke on cross country. It still is partially, but now I get the message out to be you. Don’t try to be someone else, just be you.
Q: What’s your favorite neon piece you own?
A: I have a neon snow hat. I wear everything at practice.
Q: What kind of reaction do you get from people when you wear all neon?
A: I get everything. “You’re bright.” Some people say, “hopefully you don’t get hit by a car,” or “traffic cone,” or “Neon Guy.”
