Although most artists limit themselves to a specific media or type, Lauren Rismiller enjoys exploring all artistic avenues.
Drawing used to be all she would do. Then, she discovered her passion for painting during AP Art Studio.
“I was a drawer for the longest time; there was this time that I hated painting but then I got into AP Art Studio and that’s all I kept doing so I like painting now, especially impressionistic,” Rismiller said.
On her own time, she enjoys to draw people.
“I love to draw people and faces, so a lot of cross hatching,” Rismiller said.
Currently, Rismiller is creating a series of paintings in pastel colors. She is remaking some early pop art into abstract paintings.
“I’m working on another one in a series I’m doing. They’re basically old 50s pictures, and I’m doing them in surrealist colors, but with an impressionistic take on them,” Rismiller said.
