Chick-fil-a fundraiser to beat Mustangs for five thousand

To kick off the football rivalry between the Lafayette Lancers and Marquette Mustangs, there will be a fundraising competition sponsored by the Chick-fil-A located in Chesterfield Valley.
From 5- 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept 21, Lafayette fans should visit Chick-fil-A and drop your receipt one of four bins labeled “Lafayette.” Marquette’s night is Tuesday, Sept. 20.
The winning school will receive a $5,000 check from Chick-fil-A at the varsity football game Friday, Sept. 23 at Marquette High School at 7 p.m.
In addition, 15 percent of proceeds from Sept. 21 will go to Lafayette Renaissance. The challenge has been going on for seven years and Lafayette has won every year but one.
Chick-fil-A is located at 17365 Chesterfield Airport Rd.
