Seniors sign with school of choice

Yesterday was the day that Lafayette’s athletes bridged their high school sports careers with their future collegiate aspirations. Signing day is the day in which students gather around to watch all of the Lancer’s top athletes of the past few seasons seal the deal on their offers from schools all around the country. Earlier this year, Lafayette had 14 athletes sign to participate in college in sports ranging from women’s tennis to men’s golf.
The list of signees from earlier this year has:

Abby Carpenter- Eastern Illinois University (Women’s Tennis)
Lauren Flowers- Missouri S&T (Women’s Volleyball)
Conrad Maloney- Maryville University (Men’s Golf)
Courtney Palm- Brown University (Women’s Volleyball)
Lauren Reynolds-Evangel University (Softball)
Tori Roe- Oral Roberts University (Women’s Volleyball)
Matt Roither- Wingate University (Men’s Lacrosse)
Taylor Schneider- Illinois State University (Women’s Soccer)
Maddie Seifert- Penn State University (Softball)
Alexa Simpson- Missouri State University (Field Hockey)
Allison Turner- Bradley University (Women’s Volleyball)
Matthew Waeckerle- University of Saint Mary (Men’s Lacrosse)

This semester many more of Lafayette’s own athletes will officially sign to their college of choice to play their sport.

Senior Brian Boyd said, “I’ll be really glad to sign today, it’s the first page in a new chapter in my life. Lewis and Clark is a tiny school, but it feels great for something you work so hard at to pay off.”
