Jr. Billikens defeat Lancers; Homecoming game against McCluer North
October 16, 2014
After the Lancers defeated Parkway South 42-13 the previous week, they matched up against St. Louis University high school (SLUH).
During the first quarter, the game remained deadlocked at a 0-0 tie. The stalemate came to a close, as bad luck ensued at the beginning of the second quarter. Nothing went their way as SLUH scored two touchdowns by the end of the frame. Senior Cameron Scales scored the Lancers sole touchdown in between both of the Jr. Billikens scores.
Action settled down in the third quarter, with SLUH recording a sole field goal on a 37 yard field goal by senior Jacob Cox.
In the fourth, the situation repeated itself as Cox knocked another ball through the uprights.
Junior running back Tommy Feissle, “We weren’t playing as a team and we weren’t really executing. A lot of guys had good games, but we had a lot of communication issues.”
Despite putting together a four game win streak, the now 4-4 Lancer’s reoccurring problem of communication errors appears to be the prominent issue.
Their Homecoming game against McCluer North is coming up on Friday, Oct. 17th.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
