The Lancers took a tough loss last night against Eureka, losing 49-48 after a heartbreaking effort. Having the upper hand going into the 4th quarter, the squad fought hard, but couldn’t quite get the job done closing out the game.
Things were looking good for the Lancers as they kept Eureka’s senior Gino Green off the glass, but junior Tyler Jordan went off and rained five deep three pointers to propel the Wildcats to victory. Lafayette had plenty of opportunities in the final two minutes, but just couldn’t close.
Tonight, Lafayette will face Parkway West (5-6). West is coming off a huge victory against Rockwood Summit (10-3), defeating them 78-67 last Friday.
Possibly the biggest challenge tonight will be keeping Parkway’s best scorer Jake Socha in check. Socha is averaging 17.8 points per game. Along with Socha’s presence, Parkway also has a good rebounder in Cash McCurdy, who is averaging a double-double this season.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)

Brown won his bout against junior Kobe Rhymes of North Kansas City High School by fall in just 41 seconds. "Carter does what Carter does. We expect [success] out of him and his goals are bigger than the state championship," coach Sam Ritchie said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/IMG_2784-1200x800.jpg)
