Saturday, September 5, Rockwood Rocks Band Night will take place in the Lafayette Commons from 7-11 p.m. with free admission.
This is an event where music lovers from all schools can gather to see the musical talent their fellow peers possess.
“I’m pretty excited, and it isn’t only bands from Lafayette, it’s all local Rockwood High Schools,” junior Bobby Boxerman said.
“People will enjoy it because they get to see their friends up on stage,” junior Shayne Hayes added.
Guitarist Hayes and bassist Boxerman will play with their band, ‘The Moment.’ They have been together for about a year with members from other schools, Jake Hill on drums, Tori Watson as the singer and Garrison Krotz as the rhythm guitarist.
When asked if they were nervous to perform Hayes said, “No, I get to share good music and it’s fun. This isn’t the first time I’ve been on stage. I’ve been doing stuff like this since 7th grade,”
These best friends have played together at Lafayette’s CoffeeHouse, Project Sunshine Benefit, Mr. LHS and other small concerts.
“It’ll be awesome, everyone should come!” Boxerman said.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
