During all lunch shifts, T-shirts have been put on sale in preparation for the Lancer’s upcoming face-off against Francis Howell this Friday, Nov. 16.
Each shirt is $8 and all proceeds will go to the National Leadership Academy, a program where a student is sent to Denver, Colorado, to learn leadership skills.
“My goal is to raise enough money to send one child, which is around $1000” said Associate Principal Nisha Patel as she stood on stage during lunch to sell the shirts.
Patel added that it is for a good cause, and it is also a great way to support our football team.
“I think they’re a great idea” said Lafayette football coach Boyd Manne.
Many students have already bought the shirts on the stage during lunch, so that they can wear them to the football game.
“A lot of people have bought shirts, we may sell out and have to order more” said Patel, “There are a lot of fans in this school. Go football!”
