On April 14, 12 Lafayette athletes committed to college sports. Here is a list of the athletes who signed collegiate letters of intent:
Nico D’Antonio- Indiana University- Football
Jimmy DeStefano- William Jewell- Football: “It feels relieving. It feels great.”
Drew Garrone- Truman State University- Soccer: “I’m looking forward to living on my own.”
Jessica Hanson- Illinois State University- Soccer “I’m looking forward to getting a good education.”
Jackie Legner- Southeast Missouri State University- Tennis
Mick Lyons- Palm Beach Atlantic- Tennis
Ryan Mansfield- Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville- Baseball: “It’s a relief. [I’m looking forward to] playing at a higher level.”
Will Montgomery- Central Methodist University- Football: “To finally know where I’m going is a huge relief, but I’m not done working hard.”
Meagan Schneider- St. Louis University- Soccer
Aareon Smith- University of Missouri-St. Louis- Basketball: “Im excited, I can’t wait [for college]. It feels good to know hard work actually pays off.”
Thomas Swoboda- William Jewell- Football: “To get situated is great. It feels good to move on to the next level and start something new.”
Nick Tolmais- Truman State University- Soccer
