Two things occupy a student’s mind when December rolls around: holiday break and the dreaded finals week.
Massive amounts of lengthy review packets and last minute tests and quizzes are thrown their way as time winds down to two hours of either torture or a cake walk. Studying for finals is what makes this process that much more difficult. Now, Lafayette is offering extensive exam preparation to ensure success.
To help students prepare, the Library will be open until 9 p.m. on Dec. 13 -14. Also, the Linrary will remain open until 5 p.m. on Dec. 17.
Is staying awake an issue while studying? The Commons Coffee House can fix that. On Dec. 14-15 from 3:25-5:45 p.m., Lafayette is hosting an opportunity for study groups to get together, review and to sip some caffeine.
What’s better than going straight to the source of information FOR information? Nothing. The Guidance Office has a sign-up sheet for students interested in teacher review sessions for Dec. 13-17. Subjects, dates and times are included, so get down to the office to sign-up.
Guidence counselor Emily Lee is excited for new student opportunities to act on for finals.
” It is helpful to have these options to offer to students when they are unsure of how to best prepare for their final exams. Six or seven exams can be really overwhelming. My hope is that many students take advantage of these opportunities because they will really pay off for them in the end.”

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
