Robbe registers five blocks; girls basketball wins fourth game

To say the Lady Lancers girls basketball team is off to a good start is a bit of an understatement. They have won four of the first five games that they’ve played this year and came in second in the Marquette Tournament at the beginning of the season.

The teams six man rotation only has one senior in the mix, the rest are a combination of one freshmen, one sophomore and three juniors. Tara Robbe is the one sophomore on the team that is in the six man starting rotation.

She is already having a solid season putting up top numbers among the team. The sophomore is averaging 10.2 points per game and has scored 51 total points this season, which is highest among the team. Robbe also averages 6.8 rebounds per game, one assist per game and has nine blocks this season.

Her block total more than doubled after the game against Francis Howell North when she recorded five blocks on the stat sheet. The Lady Lancers defeated the Knights 49-29.

After a nice four day break, the team will face off against Timberland at home on Dec. 12 starting at 7 p.m.
