After going 6-4 in their first 10 games, Lafayette needed to turn things around to keep their season safe and sound and they have done just that, winning 9 of their last 10 games to put them at 15-5 on the season thus far.

The team is being led by seniors Hannah Flowers, Mell Flowers (no relation to Hannah) and Emeile Orlando who have all contributed in big ways.

Hannah is second on the team in aces and leads the team in kills. Mell has excelled on defense and has 113 digs which is tied for second on the team. To top it off, Orlando has 293 assists on the season so far, which is good enough for first place on the team.

“Our goal is to be playing our best volleyball in October,” Head Coach Zach Young said.

With October just around the corner, expect the Lady Lancers to pick up the pace and prepare for the post-season. Their next game comes against Borgia on Sept. 26 at home starting around 6 p.m.
