Consistency remains the key for girls golf

September 19, 2016
With the post-season fast approaching for the Lady Lancers golf team, their focus starts to shift a little as they prepare for the conference tournament.
“We need to develop some consistency towards the end of the season with our few top golfers,” Head Coach Katrina Clark said. “We have a very consistent team, but we could improve on our individual consistency to help our team shoot even lower scores.”
If the team can get their top golfers, such as Paige San Felippo and Anika Pulumati, into prime form then expect the team to make a run in the post-season this year.
“I am hopeful that we can contend in the Conference tournament and potentially make it through Districts as a team,” Clark said. “I would be so proud to get a full team through Districts to Sectionals and it absolutely is within reach. Again, we just need all top five players to be consistent and put up the score they are pleased with. If that happens, I like our chances.”
The Lady Lancers will next be seen in action against Oakville on Sept. 20 at Forest Hills starting around 3:45 p.m.
