Lancers outlast Colts, win District title

The Lafayette Lancers won their second consecutive District title on Friday, scraping by the Colts of Parkway Central in a 43-40 nail-biter.

The Colts jumped out to an early first-quarter lead, whivh they held until the third quarter when the Lancers gained the upper hand. The Colts had a chance to tie the game with 25 seconds, but they turned the ball over and the Lancers held on for the win.

The Lancers will face Chaminade on Wednesday at Lindenwood University in the first game of sectionals.
