Despite cancellations due to the inconsistent St. Louis weather, the girls soccer team has continued their winning streak with a record of 7-1 for the season.
Last night, Thurs. April 25, the team shut down Parkway South with a score of 4-0. Each scoring one, seniors Kate Barber, Ashley Parks, junior Jessie Ludwig, and sophomore Taylor Scheider executed the key plays of the game to beat the Patriots.
The rain has had a large impact on several spring sports teams, as the soccer girls have endured three cancellations in a row. Thurs. April 18 against Hazelwood West, Mon. April 22 against St. Charles West, and Tues. April 23 against Fort Zumwalt West were all called off due to rain and thunder storms.
Hoping to avoid the strong april showers, the team will face off against Northwest High School on Fri. April 26 at 6 p.m. With another home field advantage, the Lancers hope to extend their winning streak and defeat the Lions.
