Nearing the end of the season, the girls soccer team has yet to be defeated after their initial loss to the Eureka Wildcats. The team is motivated to continue their victory streak all the way to the State championship.
Last Friday Mar. 26, the Lancers dominated Northwest High with a score of 7-0. Senior Kate Barber led the team with two goals, and repeated her powerhouse shooting for the win against Mehlville yesterday, Mar. 30.
As the St. Louis weather finally decided to show signs of spring this week, the girls were able to compete in three scheduled games in a row, which the rain has made impossible since Mar. 17.
With a strong sense of confidence, the Lancers face off against 8-8 Howell Central on Fri. May 3. Sophomore Spartan, Caitlyn Eddy, has proven her talent in a varsity jersey this season with six goals. The Lancers will have to shut down Eddy and continue making plays on offense.
Competition begins against Howell Central at home at 6 p.m.
