The boys volleyball Lancers trumped the Longhorns of Parkway West Monday night April 1, winning 2-0 in straight sets.
Lafayette, now 4-2 in Suburban West play, were led defensively by starting senior libero Ryan Gettinger and his season 98.15 percent dig percentage. Gettinger, now in his fourth year on varsity, also leads the Lancers in average digs per game on the year with 4.53 percent.
At the net, LHS’ Alex Moll dominated the tie. Moll, starting opposite setter Jakob Jozwiakowski as a right side, is leading the Lancers offensively early on in the season. His 32.4 kill percentage and his 43 total kills are both tops on the team.
The Lancers look to continue their success Tuesday night, April 2, at home against 7-1 Northwest.
