At 6-1 in Conference play, the team is tied for first with Eureka. In order for the Lady Lancers win the title outright, Eureka must lose their matchup with Fox. Otherwise, both teams could potentially be named Co-Conference Champions.The team is led by junior guard Jordynn Martin, who is currently averaging a career-high 20 points per game (ppg), which is also good for a sixth place position among the state’s scoring leaders. Juniors Kayla Hall (10.1 ppg) and Ashley Hipp (6.7 ppg) have also proved to be effective on the offensive end.In order to come out victorious, the team believes a variety of factors will come into play.
“I think that staying focused is a major part but also relaxing. Playing together as a team and plaing for each other is important too,” Hall said, “Coming ready to play and playing with heart will prove just how much we want that conference title.”
