Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”
Nine AP exams will transition to digital format in 2025, additional six in 2026

Lady Lancers beat Parkway West; take on Marquette tonight

On Jan. 12, the varsity girls basketball team traveled to Parkway West to take on the Lady Longhorns in their final game before their awaited match up against long time rival, Marquette.

Junior guard Jordynn Martin led all scorers with 21 points as junior Kayla Hall added another 10 and also dished out seven assists. Second chance points had also been essential to the team’s 58-28 win with five of the 10 players who saw the floor boarding at least three offensive rebounds.

With this, their record extends to 7-6 overall, and their 1-1 record in the Conference play puts them at third in the Suburban West.  Martin’s 17.5 ppg is also good for second in the Conference.

However, no game thus far holds any greater significance than the one to be played Friday, Jan. 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the LHS main gym as the Lady Lancers were able to slide past the Mustangs 58-56 in OT in the season opening Marquette Tournament.

“I think we’re all really excited to play them again. We barely beat them last time in overtime but we’ve gotten a lot better. Both teams always play good when  we play each other and it’s always a fun game. Being at home just gives you a little more momentum.
