After winning the Conference tournament on Oct. 4, the girls golf team headed to Districts on Oct. 5.
The team had a very strong showing at The Golf Club at Deer Chase in Linn Creek, MO, placing second overall as a team, with four individuals advancing to Sectional play.
Senior Kelly Lamarche led the way for the Lady Lancers at Districts, tying for first place overall with 82 strokes. Juniors Maddie Van House and Claire Norfleet also qualified, shooting 98 and 104, respectively. One of the best young players on the team, sophomore Ashton Goldammer, qualified as well with 99 strokes at Districts.
These golfers will represent Lafayette in Sectionals and those who play well enough will advance to participate at the State level.
