For solo performances, junior Sydni Knox placed 1st in the Junior/Senior category, sophomore Lauren Mitchell placed 1st in the Freshman/Sophomore category, and sophomore Lydia Werk placed 2nd in the Freshman/Sophomore category.

“It was my first time doing a solo. I was more nervous dancing by myself than when I danced with a team,” Werk said. “I was surprised and thrilled that I got 2nd.”

At the Springfield Invitational on Jan. 27, the team placed 2nd overall for the Friday Night Meet. The next night, Jan. 28, the team won the meet as the 1st place overall champions.
