Baseball players grateful to get back field in 2021, look to finish strong as they head into post-season

March 1, marked the first day of spring sports play since the 2020 season. We asked three varsity baseball players to reflect on their previous seasons at Lafayette and how their previous years has helped them get where they are today and tell us what their end goal for this season is. Overall, the team is hopeful for a successful season, being that the team is currently ranked eighth in the state, their end goal for this season is to head to the State Championships.
If there is one thing Grant Campbell has learned from playing baseball, it is to never give up. Campbell has been playing baseball for seven years and currently plays one of the infield positions. "I love playing baseball," Campbell said. "Yes, I focus a lot of my time on it but I don't mind. Besides, it keeps me in shape." Campbell's perfect championship game would be to be up one run, tie run on second base, and we get three outs and get the save.
