Sweaters and Santa hats filled the LHS Gym, Dec. 3, for the annual MIOS concert, featuring RVMS and LHS bands. This is the only concert where all three LHS bands perform all songs together. At the conclusion of the performance, the LHS Jazz Band performed in the Commons. STLSpark briefly spoke during the concert to promote Dressember and fundraising efforts.

Video clips were also taken, view those below.
To signify the start of the concert, wind ensemble brass players play “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” as the last few audience members take their seats.
Following wind ensemble’s welcoming performance, RVMS sixth, seventh and eighth grade bands perform their songs. RVMS music teacher John Menner directed them as well as music teachers Brad Balog and Kevin Lowe.
Before all LHS bands take the floor, wind ensemble flautists and Percussion 1 students play “Queen of Sheba” by George Frideric Handel.
All LHS band members conclude the performance with two ensemble pieces. The first one was “The Mandalorian” by Ludwig Göransson.
The concert ended with “Sleigh Ride” by Leroy Anderson. The audience had the opportunity to participate in this song by clapping their hands or slap-sticks they brought during the claps in the song. Percussionists stood in the bleachers with slap-sticks of their own and Lowe directed everyone as to when to clap. Senior Brody VanCamp and junior Grayson Smith played the horse whinny on trumpet at the conclusion of the song.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
