In order to earn her Girl Scout Gold Award, senior Angela Robinson has constructed a project that will help comfort our troops.
Robinson has chosen to make neck cooling wraps, which will be donated to our troops through the USO.
“There’s a bunch being donated,” Robinson said. She also said she believes it would help many people.
In order to help Robinson, the FACS classes at Rockwood Valley Middle School, the Lafayette Fashion Club and the National Honor Society will assist in the making of the wraps.
Robinson is asking for donations of cotton fabric or cotton bed sheets that will be used as material for the wraps. The more fabric that Robinson collects, the more wraps she can send to our troops.
Robinson added that she didn’t have a goal number to collect, “just as many as possible.” Donations can be dropped off at room 111 until Dec.14.
