A new Helpline, the St. Louis Youth Connection Hotline was recently created from a collaboration between Youth in Need and Behavioral Help Response. The program offers multiple ways for kids and teens to recieve help in times of crisis.
One option is to call in or text the Hotline, where mental health counselors are standing by to respond to each call and helps connect to appropriate services.
Another option is to go to one of the Safe Place locations around the area. Safe Place is a national outreach program that connects youth in crisis to local shelters through youth friendly, community-based businesses.
Families and youth in need can access the hotline by calling 314-628-2929 or 1-877-928-2929 or texting 4HLP to 31658.
