Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”
Nine AP exams will transition to digital format in 2025, additional six in 2026

Pottery Hollow in Ellisville is open daily for walk-in painting, birthday parties, and pottery pickup. The Ellisville location is the newest of the Pottery Hollow stores, and is one of four locations.

With a total of four locations across the greater St. Louis area and Illinois, Pottery Hollow opened a store in Ellisville Nov. 2, 2023.

Offering a variety of over 400 porcelain figurines, plates, piggy banks and more, Pottery Hollow allows customers to paint and decorate pottery as a walk-in excursion or a scheduled party.

Prices depend on the piece a customer chooses to paint, with supply fees at $5 for children and $8 for adults.

Pottery Hollow also offers party packages such as a Stress-Free Painting Packages that costs $20-$23 per painter, depending on the chosen pieces. A Stress-Free Work Party Package costs $50 to rent the party room for two hours, and discounted supply fees of $4. Groups of 20 or more boy/girl scouts can have their supply fees waived, and groups with less than 20 scouts receive 50% off supply fees.

Some locations also offer special discounts for “Ladies Night” or a Father’s Day event.

Pottery Hollow was founded on the story of a potter who lived in a magical forest and created pottery in his workshop, the Pottery Hollow. While he had fairies who would paint all the pieces he made, they were too small and couldn’t decorate as fast as he created. Pottery Hollow’s website says, “That is where you come in! The potter needs you as his apprentice to paint his beautiful pottery and to find a fitting home for each piece.”

According to their website, Pottery Hollow seeks to inspire both kids and adults to use their imagination and explore their artistic ability as they paint their pieces.
