Sophomore Abi Miller is making a difference in the world, aiding countries where religious freedom is inaccessible.
Miller is going with a group from Church STL on a mission trip to India.
“Our pastor has connections [in India],” Miller said.
Miller has been on mission trips before, but never one that was out of the country.
“It’s been my dream to go out of the country and to go on a mission trip,” Miller said.
Miller said a group from her church has previously gone to India, but only a few went due to the potentially hazardous circumstances at the time.
On the trip, Miller said they are going to, “villages where Christians get persecuted.
“We help the pastors who have been kicked out of the village,” Miller said.
According to persecution.org, India has been ranked as number 31 out of the top 50 countries in the world where living as a Christian is most difficult. This past month, a pastor in the city of Bangalore was beaten to death with a brick.
“It’s dangerous,” Miller said.
“Don’t worry, I’m not going to die,” Miller added with a smirk.
Miller and others are going to build a church in India as well, among other things.
“After we leave, we’re going to send care packages and stay in contact,” Miller said.
Miller said they are probably going to go sometime during the next school year, but exclaimed, “I just wish it was sooner!”
“I can’t wait to go to India because I have never been out of the country!” Miller said.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
