For an inviting atmosphere and great tasting food, try Clancy’s at the Barn in Ballwin. With a varied menu and friendly service, it’s one of my favorite places to eat.
Part of a small shopping center built out of an old barn, Clancy’s is a family owned pub and butchery that sells everything from soups to burgers to even filet mignon. One of their best features is their nightly specials, particularly Saturday steak night, where any steak is $14.95. It may still not be cheap, but it’s still a date night with fillet mignon for less than $35.
On a busy weeknight when the parking lot nearly full, my family and I were wondering if it was worth the wait or if we should go somewhere else. To our surprise, we were seated as soon as we entered the building.
After about 20 minutes of passing the time by talking and watching a basketball game on the TV, we were served our meal of burgers and fried pickles. The burgers are by far the base of the establishment, and are only $4.95 with unlimited toppings and add-ons for free. The entire meal for the family was only $35 and there was always a waiter to fill our drinks, give a recommendation or just to talk.
With an outdoor area for baseball season and catering for the super bowl, it is never a bad time of year for a burger from Clancy’s at the Barn.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
