When my friend recommended that I try City Coffee house & Creperie I was eager to visit. I had never tried a crepe before and had heard that they were interesting so I was happy to get the chance.
When I first arrived at the creperie the small café was so packed with eager customers that the line went out the door.
The inside of the creperie immediately reminded me of a café in Paris. The table numbers were even held by Eiffel towers.
As my family and I waited in line we used the time to look at the large chalkboard menu.
It was a bit overwhelming with all of the options, they served lunch, dessert, fruit, and nutella crepes. The list was so long that it filled the entire chalkboard.
It was great to see that the menu consisted of other food items besides crepes for the picky eaters in my family. They served sandwiches, salads, Belgian waffles, and various bakery items.
To drink customers can choose between a wide array of smoothies, coffees, espresso drinks, teas or a fountain drink. After ordering our meal, we received a number and got to choose our table instead of standing and waiting.
There was a cute indoor area to sit and watch the chefs make your crepe and an area with screen windows so customers can sit outside and enjoy their meal even on a rainy day.
The food was delicious. The crepes were fluffy and light, almost like a pancake consistency, and the filling was delicious.
I chose the Clayton club, and found that the filling made it taste exactly like a club sandwich.
The portions were huge, so my family was happy to find that we could save some leftovers for later.
Although the creperie was a bit of drive away, I would still recommend visiting. The area was very family oriented and it was fun to visit the small shops after enjoying our meal.
