Club Spotlight: H.O.S.A. branch to be first of its kind in Missouri
Coming soon to Lafayette High School is a new after-school organization called Health Occupation Students of America, or H.O.S.A.
H.O.S.A is a club originated in Texas and is brought to Lafayette from seniors Tori Loredo, Shirene Phillipose and Karishma Tandon.
Its focus is on providing students with resources and in-depth education in the medical field outside of the classroom, including guest speakers in the medical field, field trips to hospitals, and physical therapy demonstrations.
“It’s a great club for medical students interested in pursuing that field,” Tandon said.
Lafayette’s chapter of H.O.S.A is sponsored by Jennifer Keillor, Chris Lofgren and Chrystal Mcdowell, science department teachers. The club speculates to kick off in the near future.
More information can be found from any of the aforementioned students or teachers associated.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
