Director Natasha Fischer said she was a little hesitant about the show choice at first, but said SpongeBob SquarePants The Musical has been a huge Broadway hit and is a fun show that has a message that all ages can relate to. The Lafayette Theater Company pushed back opening night when the cast struggled early on to get the entire cast together for rehearsals due to absences related to COVID-19. Now they hope the weather will not further delay the performances.
