Rockwood School District chooses new Superintendent

On Feb. 7, Rockwood School District (RSD) announced Dr. Mark Miles as the new Superintendent.

Miles will take place of the current RSD Superintendent Dr. Eric Knost on July 1, 2019.

Miles currently works as Superintendent in the Indian Hill Exempted School District in Cincinnati, OH.

During his time in Cincinnati, the Indian Hill Exempted School District earned 2019 sixth best district in the country according to Niche as well as top honors.

Previously, Miles worked as Deputy Superintendent for the Park Hill District in Kansas City, MO.

Miles is pleased to return to Missouri, his home state.

“I am honored to be your next superintendent of schools and champion for Rockwood students. I thank the members of the Rockwood School District Board of Education for placing their trust in me to lead and serve our students, staff, parents and community members,” Miles said in a letter to the Rockwood community.
