From Sergeant to educator to grandpa
Msgt. Dave Cugier to retire after 26 years at Lafayette
September 25, 1973. Just barely 18 in the suburbs of Chicago, Dave Cugier joined the Air Force. After serving for 20 years, Cugier became a teacher at Lafayette where he has been teaching Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) for 26 years.
“I’ve worn a lot of titles in my life: educator and Sergeant and dad and husband and brother and son. But the greatest title of all is grandpa,” Cugier said.

Jack Weaver was on the Image staff and the Digital Media staff for all four years of his time at Lafayette. During his senior year, Jack served as the Digital Media Editor and the Social Media Editor. He will attend the University of Kentucky to study Business Administration and Journalism.
