Principal Shaughnessy announces raffle winners at the annual Academic Pep Assembly.

Principal John Shaughnessy’s decision to retire, has created the opportunity for a new applicant to fill the position.

The process began with the posting of the available position. Anyone in the St. Louis area with the proper qualifications was allowed to apply for the job. Applications were accepted for two weeks and the window closed on April 19.

The Human Resources Department will look over all of the applicants by April 25 and a list of candidates will go on to the second step of the process which is the building interview.

The building interview will take place May 3. Parents, students and teachers will be on the committee interviewing those candidated and then that committee will determine who will move forward to participate in the superintendent interview.

The Superintendent interview will be a one-on-one with the finalist and Superintendent Eric Knost. This interview will take place May 8. Knost will interview the final applicants and the decision will be made and approved by the Board of Education on May 18.
