Softball opens up season against Francis Howell Central

On Aug. 19, the Lady Lancers softball team will pack their bags and head to Troy Buchanan and face-off against Francis Howell Central for their first game of the season. The team finished last season with a record of 11-13 and came in ninth in the Suburban West-American standings. The team had only three seniors last year, but this season the team has a total of six seniors.
“Our seniors will once again be a super group to lead the team,” Head Coach Scott DeNoyer said. “They will all make contributions in many different ways on and off the field.”
Seniors on the team include Kayley Allen, Addie Balderston, Sarah Dobson, Taylor Hand, Madisyn Henne and Lauren Kulick.
The game is set to start around 4 p.m.
